Once upon a time all was complete
Before man ever knew his first defeat
There were only blossoms pure and sweet
With many moments still to greet
In this time there were no sad tales
Of how in history nobility always fails
Nor any past winds in heavy gales
Ripping to shreds beloved sails
In this place some saw a garden
Others find the core of Zen
Still more find the need to pardon
The best time to begin was then
But the world cannot exist in limbo
Where nothing has been hard and slow
Rather you must have both dove and crow
To learn upon which path we must all go
