Illuminating just how I miss you
It seems an eternity since you sat there
Saying the sweet things that you do
Our dreams seem to be fading day by day
Without you I have so much less to say
I tried sitting there a week ago
But that seemed silly and idealistic
Without you there is no semblance of a glow
I am learning to be sensible and realistic
You would be so proud of me
But you aren't here so you don't see
That red cover on it that I so hated
Now I love it whole heartedly
Though before it seemed so dated
Now it seems a kind medley
That speaks of a time when we were together
Swearing we would be happy forever
