To the bedridden heart I have little to say
But wrap deeper into your sheet's cocoon
Your bleeding emotions only endlessly lay
And this agony will end no time soon
Scar tissue can hide the oozing slits
Whilst within this cradle life sits
Not revealing the problem at the core
In your quiet falling and rising chest
It mentions what else may be in store
When your aching memories leave you no time to rest
Whoever used to share this quiet place
Has now left you without a trace
No arms to hold you safe and near
Only mocking decor of old
No one to call you his sweetest dear
The pillows have grown cold
In this empty bed your heartsickness will swell
Making every night lonelier, the night from hell
