Day 348 - Staring Match

I had a thousand questions to ask you
Before I stood face to face with you
Now staring until you have the answer
To every single one of them will have to do

You seemed to have so much to say
When I was young and in my mind we would play
Now it seems you do not possess a tongue
But from my face your eyes do not stray

If ever I could manage to break this gaze
And untangle the mysteries so like a maze
I would leave this place once and for all
And yet all I can do is stay here in this daze

Day 136 - A Little Magic

If I could just have a breath of fresh air
Swirl fairy dust into my dark hair
I could soar on a breeze of rest
Feeling at last I was my very best
But here I sit awaiting such luck
Because ultimately I feel stuck
In the picture frame mid-stride
Going nowhere and wanting to hide
Because what if the fairy dust isn't meant for me?
Then what will my life turn out to be?
I just need that little ounce of magic
For now I feel incomplete and tragic

Day 115 - Repeating

Repeating

Every single crossing line
Says that I'm fine, say I am fine
Blurring was the first sign
Nothing was mine, nothing is mine

The blue sky hidden away
Not for today, no not today
It is locked in things we couldn't say
Take me away, just let me away

Trees grow strong and tall
After it all, after it all
I ask in every breath and call
How did I fall? Why did I fall?

Day 104 - Dark Daze

Dark Daze
In this world of gray
Keep your eyes bright
Breathing, come what may
Searching, for the light
That is the path to take
If any life you wish to make

When the clouds seem dark
Remember lessons learned
That each can make his mark
Without too many wicks burned
But the black shadow of the tree
For now is all that you dare to see

The light filters on through, still
Though it seems so very small
All depends on the bend of will
Not just great passion's call
For those who hear but never listen
Shall never see the light glisten
