Day 98 - Inventing the Sky

Inventing the Sky

The sky keeps every single secret
That man himself will not reveal
Into the atmosphere will float regret
And down the opportunity to heal
Even the darker of clouds bring down peace
For rain water pulls brings on a sweet release

Young, we search for pictures in the white
Of clouds, with hope of pulling down lightning
Like the time with the key and the kite
Imagination makes everything frightening
And exciting, fresh and new
Like the sky of brightest blue

When healing meets ingenious thought
We find medicines to make and planes to fly
Taking what we were once merely taught
And knowing no limit but the expanse of sky
We create the things they only dreamed
Truly the world's hope is greater than it seemed
