Day 362 - Night of Splendor

There was a great boom and the tune we know so well

It holds thousands of midnight kisses and even more stories to tell

The light that was raining down upon the world where we stand

Inspired a hundred dreams as I held your hand

And we danced in the streets singing all the songs we knew

The glee was blatant and honest, no other experience was ever so true

We stayed up late into the night wandering when day would begin

Surrounded by friends just as close as our kin

We pondered at the stars like fireworks stuck in the sky

The collective genius of all the world made us together, sigh

Some things can only be expressed in the miracle of breath

The moving and filling, that keeps us far from death

Day 325 - My Flame,Thursday

You lit up my life and warmed me through

With all those brilliant things that you do.

The way your hair falls across my face,

The way your heart beats in my embrace.

We watched the flames from my rug

Together bundled up, you and I, so snug

Its leaping reminded me of your dance

That sparked up a whirlwind of romance.

Will we last after the morning breaks?

I cannot say. Shall we raise the stakes?

With one more smirk on that fiery grin,

Again you make my whole world spin...

One night, that was all I meant this to be.

But now I am beginning to see

You are more than just my flame tonight

You seem to be my heart's delight.

Day 182 - Blue Lion

Across the sky comes a new light

A lion of brilliant blue so proud

One of extraordinary might

And a roar a thousand screams loud

That booms across the great plain

As the lion shakes his electric main

Below his pride runs in arches

Of light that sparkle and ignite

Led by lionesses it marches

Onward forever into the fight

That trees surround in mystery

Creating for excited cubs new history

The cubs you see look on excited

At all they will one day grow up to be

The passionate fire in their soul ignited

Glowing bright for all below to see

These lions live in the heavens and stars

As far away on most days as Mars

Yet on some nights they visit again

Their stories are told by many across earth

Originally across China's vast plain

Was the tale of their cycling rebirth

Started with a fuse from down below

Stars from up above join the show

They zoom and boom, roars reaching out

To touch the souls of children delighted

Who dance and laugh, and gleefully shout

Especially when the king is sighted

For he only exists all other days in their heads

When they dream up wonders, tucked snug in beds
