Day 282 - Inseparable

We are entwined in every single way
The trio of famous proportions.
When you are without words I know what to say
Without any strange distortions.
We hold one another close through everything
You are the lyrics, she the tune, and I the one who will sing
Until the stars lay at our feet, glowing
And we are complete, at last knowing
How the cosmos brought us together
Never to fall apart or sever.

Day 257 - Bring Me to Light

Reach deep into the darkness
Inside yourself and pull until
You begin to silently bless
The quiet and the still
Into sharing light with the dark
Pouring from your eternal spark
Your soul is brought to light
The corners of your fears
A glorious and ceremonial sight
That may very well bring you to tears
Of awe as you witness this miracle
And the pleasantly sweet pull
Of your soul reaching out to touch another
Only in the way it shall when you find your lover
The true one with whom you are forever bound
Something too much for words, far too renownd

Day 214 - Summer Time Travels

I have more adventures in mind
Than they ever need be privy to
Along paths that twist and endlessly wind
I will take you, darling just you
The flowers that hide the remaining track
Lead us away and onward to never look back

And so we will go hand in hand or apart
It need not matter in the slightest
Because the pitter patter of my heart
Is only attached to you, keeping life the lightest
That it has been or ever need be
That is the way off into the future I see

The grasses that grow hold many a message
They grow up high with hopes just as tall
That may take you one day off the old ridge
For the flying experience that grew us all
Because the flowers that hide the remaining track
Lead us away and onward to never look back

Day 206 - Complete

The day I slipped these onto my feet
Was the day I became complete

It was a golden-tinted day bright and sunny
The moment that it all began
I find it all perfect and wonderfully funny
That it all happened without a plan

The day I slipped these onto my feet
Was the day I became complete

You see I was bare foot in a skirt
Dancing to some rhythmically delightful beat
You were swaying without a shirt
Unable to remain in your tired seat

The day I slipped these onto my feet
Was the day I became complete

The music meant so much to us
And so you took me by the hand
Without making any bit of fuss
You danced me into wonder land

The day I slipped these onto my feet
Was the day I became complete

You and I would walk fields together
Hearts held in our hands entwined
It seemed to last on past forever
The best treasure we could ever find

The day I slipped these onto my feet
Was the day I became complete

We would soar if we could fly
And some days I know that we will
You hold me when I must cry
No matter the tears that I spill

The day I slipped these onto my feet
Was the day I became complete

The day was white washed in flowers
And fragrances of peaceful sleep
It was of veils and aisle walking hours
And moments far too deep

The day I slipped these onto my feet
Was the day I became complete

Day 149 - Too Quiet and Old

In a quiet old room, sit two quiet old chairs
Much too old and quiet to encourage more stares
But once upon a time long ago that pot
Was formed by hands so very well taught
The woman who made it fashioned that lace
With meticulous care and hands full of grace
Those chairs that you see where made by a man
One who ardently did all that one can
To build the perfect home for his one and only
So if he ever need leave she would not be lonely
By that bright window they held their first child
And many more who came after keeping life wild
Very little is the house old and quiet anymore
Rushing and bustle with grandchildren is in store
But every once in a while a great hush can be found
Then husband and wife sit old and quiet around
The table and chairs and soft worn old lace
Lovingly their hands make a sweet embrace
He whispers to her, "I know we are quiet and old
But ours is the best love story ever told."

Day 141 - Center of the Universe

The center of the universe meets here
Bursting in dark yellow pistils of hope
Petals brushing far too near
Like the lips of lovers who elope
Bouquets of brilliant white take the aisle
As the bride treads across in style
The veil hiding her excited eyes
Lighting upon her tuxedo-clad prize
It all begins in this universe's center
Beckoning the hope of love to enter

Day 139 - Together

Together

You are my safety
All that others hope to see
They cannot breathe you in though
They can never experience you, no

You are my story
Holding you very close to me
Promising that you will never go
Pulling me in like no one else can, no

We live as one we do, we do
That is all that must be true
Nothing else claims reality
Except living you and me
You and I forever
Entwined together

Day 100 - Boat Hope

Boat Hope
I have heard of a special time and place
Where boats could bring us face to face
To embrace at long last
Laughing at our lonely past
For love takes a relationship
But I would settle for your smiling lip
On the deck of that little boat
We could keep one another afloat
Across the wide expanse of sea
Bringing you closer to me
I can hear the waves in my heart
That keep us so far apart
I can also see the clear ocean blue
In your eyes, defining you
But for now it is only a lonely yacht
With all of my feelings caught
In the letters that we share
Though the distance is unfair
I cannot make it to you this time
Longing will last through another rhyme
And in every single line that we wrote
There on the ocean, hope is afloat

Day 82 - Crossed in Love

Crossed in Love

Fill my cup with yours dear
Next to the flowers sitting here
The yellow rose of Texas waits just there
Golden and placed with such gentle care
Crossed with the petals of a fair flower
In the memory of the greatest of power
That which calls the earth to turn forever
That which brings the sweethearts together
Let wine be the true drink of love
Sent from the glorious heavens above
To light upon in due course
All that we can never force
The truth and honesty that evades
All else until the last bit of light fades
And even then, if you can look and see
You shall behold the great mystery
That holds this world in a bouquet
Brightening every passing day

Day 58 - Cup of Tea

Cup of tea darlin' it'll be alright
You can sit nice and cozy through the night
Breathe easy sweetheart I'll watch over you
No need to be lookin' so sad and blue
The aches and the pains will soon fade away
The sweet scents and calm moments are here to stay
This will chase away all those nightmares
And leave only the warmest of my cares
Bundle you up in joy and laughter
This is the tonic for happily ever after
Cup of tea darlin it'll be alright
I'll be guarding you through the night

Day 25 - Paris Was Not Meant to Be?

My darling you made promises to me
Years ago that we would visit that city
Where boulevards are made of the lovely and fine
Where we would find joie de vivre, yours and mine
The clock behind says it is not possible
The mighty ocean without you is uncross-able
So why did you leave me here so lonely
You will always be my one and only
This was your present, you said I was the gift
That in all the world, only I could lift
You, up and high into the skies above
Together we would discover the City of Love
But you have gone to the ground they say
And all my dreams have fallen away
Yet as I walk our quiet town and small places
There is nothing that is not yours in the faces
Our little flower shop where you bought the first bouquet
That is now the path leading me to places far away
That simple park bench where you caressed my hand
None in all the cities of the world could ever understand
Why that is the place I treasure more than all the rest
Anywhere we were, will forever be the best
But darling I do not know how with you gone
They swear the City of Love goes on
That the tower still pierces the night sky with light
That there are still dreams and hopes that are bright
It has gone away forever and ever
Now that we are not together
That is the fact that remains and lives on
The only one I think of, now that you are gone
So please come back and together we will be
The revivers of the joys of that beautiful city
It is unfair that a shot to your golden heart
Could be the last thing to tear us apart
Please my love, wake me from this nightmare
No one else knows just how you and I would care
Stop lying there and quickly come with me
To the place we always wanted, that beautiful city

Day 23 - Love

Love

Here I begin to bend, anything for my darling
It matters not what shape I might take on later
And though this may seem quite alarming
I would go through hell and back and still wait for her
She holds all that has ever meant anything at all
She creates light even when the hope is so small

You see when she holds me, I know nothing more
There is only now and having her by my side
Nothing matters about later or before
For with me she has chosen to truly confide
How can such an angel breathe next to me?
That I will be forever too blind to see

I have not felt this pure or right since my birth
And that was eons ago or so it seems
That only placed me here on this earth
But she has come straight out of my dreams
To enlighten every moment I exist and live
And for her there is nothing I would not give

Day 19 - Orb of Love

Orb of Love

I am trapped in the orb do you see?
The brilliant which will not set me free
So I gaze out lost to the earth
Long ago I forgot dreams of rebirth
Now I simply gaze as it all goes by
Love and loss give the living wings to fly
But at last they sit in comfort here once more
Keeping the moment quiet, with a closed door
They do not take a second glance
Just live lives of boredom, or romance
I do not make them think twice
That is how I pay the price
I loved my sorceress, heart and soul
But they turned her black as coal
The day they gazed into our life
Is the day I lost my wife
She spent hours with potions and smoke
I still loved her even when it made me choke
She had the right reasons after all
She was my angel, for whom I sit on the wall
She could not bear if I were to die
So I stay here, eternally I lie
I am immortal or so she can believe
I died the day her last breath did leave
But she had the glory of going above
I stayed right here for our love
I never begrudge her requesting this
Only her embrace and sweet face do I miss
My witch she was one who held everything
Now in my flat ears her voice can ring
But alone here I know, no one knew her
I am her final touch of her art and anger
Left to gaze upon the ceiling
No longer to the stars with feeling
All that remains is my painting
And the endless silent waiting

Day 6 - Beauty Believer

Dedicated to Simone
Beauty Believer

Messages burnt into parchment so old
With hidden secrets that whisper just right
Forgotten tales that wish to be told
Of the angry and long lasting fight
Fear grows like flames in the hearth
Begging for the redeeming birth

Poetic love letters remain unread
Holding the key to the resolution
They remain within the bark instead
As time grows around, a true infusion
Of the power that love possesses
And the memory of final caresses

The circle burnt just so is an ancient brand
Making the small town's legacy
They had owned the many acres of land
And built the endless shops and famous library
But at the edges burned in the lighter shade
Was a memory that few would not let fade

It was the mark of a small family farm
That catered to those of higher worth
They kept the legacy far from harm
But were naturally of inferior birth
So when the love was made between two
There was not much the families were willing to do

So this was the last mark the lovers dare leave
Within the tree that kept them so safely hid
In a better time they could not believe
So on their memories they closed the lid
And left no other visible traces
Except perhaps the lost looks on their faces

But such stories last long after we die
And even after our children fade away
They are stronger than the word of you and I
And have a great many more things to say
But twisted in tree trunks that out live us all
That is where the final one will begin to fall

It starts with a swift glance and sweet joy
And a dance with skirts just a-twirl
With the interested eye of a young boy
And the smile so kind on the clever girl
Then the young soul comes along all aglow
With nothing but a bright heart to show

And he is then ready to search for beauty
When in his world her light is shining
He finds a story that spurned from duty
Though the language has a way of reminding
Him of the love he holds for his darling
Something so pure, he found in falling
