Day 331 - Tears of a Generation

Someone began to weep from across the sea
And the tears began to rain down on me
The green and gray clouds began to bruise
The sky who has lost all its happier hues
Yet light peaks out in the misery
On the horizon is a new spree
One that is spreading education
Across the small and even the great nation
We have had to weep for a generation
But starting tonight we will weep in elation

A note from the Poet:
Today World AIDS Day and this post is in honor of that. This post represents the hope that in 2015 not a single child will be born with AIDs. This post represents hope for a healthier world, with less poverty and disease.

  1. I was there when this photo was taken--Eric you enhanced it beautifully. The poem made me cry. You are both very talented.

  2. Thank you for your comments, they are quite humbling.
