Day 343 - Wishing Wall

If I could just click my heels together

And disappear off to a dream land

All the world would fade for this moment of forever

I could be the singer of every band

The painter of every canvas

Defenders of the great and small

The keeper of every kiss

So that is what I ask you for wishing wall

One day years later he came walking on by

And saw all wishes that I made once upon a time

He saw the ones painted as blue as the sky

The words that only came out in rhyme

He added to them and became the giver

Of the kisses I always hoped for, wishing wall

His smiles and rhymes make me happily shiver

Nowadays we show you to our children so small

And they each add pictures to you with wishes all their own

They will do the same with their children when they are grown

May I say I am sorry

For any time your wings gave out

I hope you never worry

Enough that you need pout

I hope that peace follows you

All the days that you live

I support you in all you do

With all the love that I can give

May I say I send blessings

To help you soar up high

Away from all that stings

Into an azure and cloudless sky

And mount upon this peace sign

That is fastened to swinging hope

Reminding you everything is fine

I am here when you need to cope

May I say this pendant here

Was made with you in mind

So that it is eternally clear

That no matter how the road may wind

In shadows or in bright lights

In silvers or glowing gold

May you only see the sweetest sights

And remember the best stories told

Enter into a world of cornered light
Through window panes of solid white
That clarifies every wish every time
As fairy godmothers in a nursery rhyme

In that chest is gold and jewels
Every book with all the rules
That beg each day to be broken
So that all entrances are newly open

The lamp is one of Aladdin's treasures
That holds all unearthly pleasures
Under the shade of secrecy
All that you ever wished to see

In the end the shadows hold all
For the ending narrowed hall
That captures wishes forever
Bringing the wisher and dream together

Day 139 - Together

Together

You are my safety

All that others hope to see

They cannot breathe you in though

They can never experience you, no

You are my story

Holding you very close to me

Promising that you will never go

Pulling me in like no one else can, no

We live as one we do, we do

That is all that must be true

Nothing else claims reality

Except living you and me

You and I forever

Entwined together

Make A Wish

Right now, this moment, eleventyone

Showers upon the times just begun

And those which live on in memory

Painting the skies as far as we can see

Stars shed light as fires so old

Tinting the world in a soft gold

Make a wish on the light or star

Know that dreams travel near and far

Time cannot wait, but we can catch it

When in golden times we do not sit

But rather wish, hope, heal and pray

Watching the happy and sad shadows play

Make a wish in this moment about to end

The sacred and calming, laughing friend

Right now, this moment, eleventyone

Shines as brilliant as an infinite sun
