Day 258 - Piano City Keys

I weep I cry
Searching for the inside
No more blue sky
Just one more way to be denied
Don't play me like I'm ivory trust
To pour your fingers across
I am not silver, only iron prone to rust
Any tune within I, is a loss
The black keys of this city can't save me
They only echo my anguished plea

Let us try to light up the sky
From this low and dark place
Perhaps we will do more than try
And astonish this city square into grace
From the simplicity of parking lots
We have the hope of our generation
Tied into a thousand digital knots
Without any hope of explanation
We play an unfamiliar melody
Across the photographed piano city key
