Day 217 - Weeping Disaster

The crisscrossing arches make a perfect scene
That curves viciously to trap one inside
Within such demonstrations even peace is mean
Each droplet representing thousands more cried
You see some warped beauty in this place
Or rather watery expression of endless time
But such is only comparable to death's embrace
And the path to it is a maliciously certain crime

You shall not ever spy the disaster's violence
Until ripples of blood interrupt the original liquid clarity
It spirals out and about in raging patterns of nonsense
Leaving what was once a solid base in the pottery of disparity
Solid messages no longer claim any single form or shape
Instead they mourn in drooping moments of lying
No super hero's long lost adventure wrapped in a cape
Just more evidence of infinitely desolate crying

You should have no experience weeping
Or not near enough to sculpt out a fountain
But the dread of man is somehow forever seeping
Like the ever growing satin layered red blush of sin
You need only a name, one as harsh as a brick
To carve out like icicles on trees in the winter
And finally a skin just as rough and tirelessly thick
That is so hardy it is never even challenged by a splinter

Day 158 - Hole to Escape

Emerging comes the whitest hole
That calls adventurers in
Enticing is the complete goal
Of picture perfect happy sin
Reflecting upon dark splotches past
Racing down into memories that last

Serenity is clear and light
No need for the outer world's existence
Just goes on living bright
No need for earthly persistence
Instead just calm and sitting water
And we need not a single drop more

Day 140 - Fey Folk

In every droplet is true life
Concentrated in delicate wings
Music from a minute fife
Accompanies as a fairy sings
Bringing color into sight
The ultimate masters of light

Every single drop of the fountain
Is a reflection of a tiny fey
Every snowflake on every mountain
Rejuvenates this truth day to day
Our hope is in their gentle touch
Their sparkling eyes say so much

Hinted at in tinkling tones
Is the earth formed by tiny forms
Even the quiet dark stones
Washed away by thunder storms
All resonate in a sweet melody
Played swiftly and truly free

When our world is created
By the beauty of tiny fair folk
We walk the path fated
By time and life's bright yolk
For when true color they bring
Life reignites in everything

Day 133 - The Pool: Through a Swimmer's Eyes

The Pool: Through a Swimmer's Eyes

Pierce the glass smooth surface
With the precision of a knife
The water will softly your face kiss
And bring your limbs back to life
They speed and swim for life renewed
Erasing all memories of the day's earlier feud

The blue is a note of trusting your eyes
As the water trusts your smooth entrance
Soon one will learn to find no surprise
Only a sweet and pure sense
That rushes over you as droplets and waves
The pool, ultimately the swimmer, saves

Breath is not yours to take as you will
Oh no it is a gift you must carefully discover
Water is not something that you may spill
It is the difference between one world and the other
Embracing the swimmer to fly, dive and live
That is only the beginning of what it may give

It holds an ever sweet promise and escape
From all that the firm world of land shows
Wrapping old friends like an encouraging cape
Around a child's shoulders during the highs and lows
Yes it supplies the ultimate sanctuary
For those who yearn to live freely

Day 88 - River Moments

River Moments
The water can swirl and crash
Falling rain, with lightning's flash
Meet as worlds collide
Pulled in by the ocean's tide
A river runs into everything
Making the poets softly sing
"If you learn from the color
We will learn from the water
Together we will trail fingers through
To find the next thing that we must do."
The water has wisdom to share
And caresses of gentle care
To refresh all that was before
Washing away anger and more
The memories you cannot cease
To flow you into serene peace

Day 77 - Drown Me

Drown Me

You say it is only one drop but you have not seen it fall
This is the drop that will drown us all
In the ocean of our own lives and memories
The most varied of the many seas
It begins here on a tiny twig so innocent
Yet in the sun it shall reveal a brilliant tint
Crystalline rainbows so magical
That all the rest is fantastical
On this small vine there is love
And every other gift from above
Taking your hand I gaze awestruck
At the essence of my incredible luck
And together we wait for the drop to fall
The one that will drown us all

Day 66 - Flow On

Flow On
Water bursts into life before you and I
Like the tears that create lakes
They fall drastically from the sky
Releasing into our world all the fakes
And the once “supposed to be’s”
Fill up the oceans and the seas
They are beautiful simply to view
In the dark with a surge of white
They express what we cannot do
The silence that lives throughout the night
In the end we flow on in pride
Growing as people on the inside
