Day 344 - The Other Suns

Extended sunsets flash before my eyes, and all this
Below the flames of suns ardently begin to kiss
This galaxy of ours where time stands still
Is filled to the brim with a building will
Laced with the story Ra's journey through space
Into the hearts of men who were bewitched by Moon's grace
Meeting the horizon to claim the final moment
Before night gains the ground and the skies rent.
Stars of hope that dance before us set afire
All the tiny hearts with a sweeping desire
Like the driest call of dead plains and brush
Call the fire to lick them up in a rush
This ancient battle so ultimate always stuns
As our lives are overrun with the power of the other suns

Day 340 - Mauve Memories

They used to only hold majesty
On the throne of Mother Nature, the queen
Lavender lives in a field so misty
Bits of magic living, never before seen
But by the fairies who decorate evenings
In the light of the Moon's cautious sliver
That calls upon the cricket that sings
Of her reign as the ultimate giver
Of mysterious moments locked far away
Within the eyes of ox-eyed Hera, so fair
Laced inside the words that Don Juan would say
Even in the pond that caught Narcissus' stare
Yes, the memories sweet mauves call upon
Bring up emotions of the rarest kind
Over which all of mankind is known to fawn
On which the wickedest spells, bind
Oh, Mother Nature how we revere you
With all of the wonders you reveal to be true

Day 85 - Pandora Possibilities

Pandora Possibilities

There lies a plain box, that is all
Yet it has such an alluring call
That teasingly insists, "Open me,
"Who knows the wonders you may see?"
There is always another mystery beckoning
Fighting with our mature and sound reckoning
After all curiosity is the nature of man
How did we learn what we cannot and can?
But by opening our minds to molding
And the paper box gently unfolding
Are you ready for adventure to spring out?
You may hear profound music or scream and shout
But until you open the box you will never know
So three, two, one and here we go
