Day 340 - Mauve Memories

They used to only hold majesty
On the throne of Mother Nature, the queen
Lavender lives in a field so misty
Bits of magic living, never before seen
But by the fairies who decorate evenings
In the light of the Moon's cautious sliver
That calls upon the cricket that sings
Of her reign as the ultimate giver
Of mysterious moments locked far away
Within the eyes of ox-eyed Hera, so fair
Laced inside the words that Don Juan would say
Even in the pond that caught Narcissus' stare
Yes, the memories sweet mauves call upon
Bring up emotions of the rarest kind
Over which all of mankind is known to fawn
On which the wickedest spells, bind
Oh, Mother Nature how we revere you
With all of the wonders you reveal to be true

Day 314 - Caught

Look me right in the eye
And tell me what you see
Will I make a piece of meat
Or shall you set me free
To nobly traverse the forests with pride
I show my true colors, why do you hide?
Behind those long sticks that bang
Until they pierce my fellow's flesh
Hidden in greens and grays
Behind your awful blinding mesh
My head is not a prize I will be giving
My beauty only lasts as I roam living

Day 294 - Azure Storm

Every pin point of power
Ripples into greatness one day
The leaves of the surrendering shower
Scattering off to their own lives to pray

Dreams cannot paint so pretty a picture
And still in your heart you truly miss her
The one who you shot each day blindly
Too bad fairy tales cannot all end kindly

Every link to the heavens we find here
We implant in our memories as treasure
Be it a misty morning, or afternoon so clear
The beauty we constantly try to measure

Dreams cannot paint so pretty a picture
And still in your heart you truly miss her
The one who you shot each day blindly
Too bad fairy tales cannot all end kindly

Blessed with wind and oncoming rain
The azure storm brews for each of us
It drenches both the crazy and the sane
The ongoing struggle in each of us

Day 276 - Showering Silver

Pour silver from the heavens here
Magic to revive the whispering creek
Wisdom with a message so clear
The stones themselves seem to speak
Of secrets from the era of unicorns
Ages of kings announced by fanfares of horns

The riches found here are liquid desires
Soaking melodies of flute playing bards
Until they spin tales over the fires
Which glisten like a billion shimmering shards
As silver pours from the sun's embrace
Across this sacred enchanted place

Day 155 - Lily

Bright and brilliant blooms of power
Topping the greenest of stems
Inspire those that used to cower
Life flowing like that of the great Thames
Arching grace strokes of perfection
Call upon a painter's perfect reflection

Proof of power beyond that of man
Lies within this lily of peace
So much more than we ever can
Make, and made without a crease
Yes, some greater being must exist
Such beauties created are hard to resist

So as you gaze upon this art
That nature has brought before your eyes
Let it touch your beating heart
Let it pull from your lips deep sighs
That relax the body and the soul
The Maker of Light has created you whole

Day 78 - Veins of Forever

Veins of Forever
Let the wisdom rush over you
If that is all you ever do
You will still come out better
Learning from the veins of forever
That grows strong within this tree
Building momentous mystery
The rocks that find home at its base
Listen to how it joins the life race
For a rock has essence though smaller
Than that which helps the tree grow taller
And the people watch the trees as well
Though some believe we have more to tell
In truth all life can learn from the trees
They have no reason to hide any of the keys
They help to open many a proverbial door
Answering the ancient question, “what is all of this for?”

Day 69 - Magic Garden

Magic Garden
The path that twists around this bend
Greets the sprites to join and dance
Calling quietly out to each friend
Laughing with the cupids of romance
There is magic in this quiet place
Speeding up the growing pace

If you listen you can heard the sound
A rustle as the ivy climbs the stone
Twisting and twirling tightly bound
Nature's breath in this particular tone
And in the reviving happy green
All the small garden gnomes are seen

Day 43 - Majestic

Majestic

Majesty itself cannot be defined
For it only exists in the human mind
Hypnotize the honesty into traveling far away
Save the candid speech for another day
I am king of all that surrounds this space
Mine is the path that you cannot trace
Wandering off into the bright paradise
No one but you may pay the price
For my own kind revel in my pride
As my beauty flares up from the inside
Check your envy at the door
There is not room here for it anymore
Follow me quietly if you so dare
Closing your eyes begin to recite your prayer
We will last forever right here and now
Without any explanation of why or how
